PLANNING ANALYST
About the Position: This position is located in Falls Church, Virginia.
- Coordinates the development, review, and maintenance of comprehensive operational support plans to align agency resources with broader organizational missions.
- Leads cross-functional planning groups and teams to design, evaluate, and implement tactical and strategic emergency response plans.
- Plans, designs, and conducts complex technical and analytical studies to evaluate, measure, and assess organizational resource and capability needs.
- Formulates and delivers decisive briefings, progress reports, and strategic recommendations to senior executive leadership to guide program-level decisions.
- Represents organizational interests on technical configuration control boards to identify, evaluate, and prioritize software refinement requirements based on end-user feedback.
- Collaborates with training directors to monitor program performance metrics and ensure technical training initiatives meet enterprise-wide user requirements.
- Coordinates and hosts specialized workshops to help planners utilize analytical modeling software to generate estimates and project resource requirements.
- Guides stakeholders in utilizing quantitative modeling and analytical simulation tools to conduct thorough risk and course-of-action analyses.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12).
