The Screen-out Element for this position is: Understanding and application of the full range of rigging techniques sufficient to serve as a journey-level rigger. Understanding and application of safety factors for all rigging equipment. Knowing and using approved hand signals. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, job orders, sketches, design sketches, and complex work procedures like Lifting and Handling Work Instructions (LHWI). Working from both oral and written instructions to carry out assigned duties. Ability to estimate sizes, weights, and capacities of equipment and loads.
