Maintenance Mechanic Supervisor
You will serve as a Maintenance Mechanic Supervisor with National Park Service overseeing the maintenance, cleaning, repair, and preservation of built structures such as buildings, docks, and boardwalks. Facilities are located in Bartlett Cove, Gustavus, Yakutat, Dry Bay and Juneau, AK. This position is located in the Glacier Bay National Park preserve, in Gustavus, Alaska Salary Range Information: State of Alaska (Anchorage, Fairbanks, Juneau)(AK) Wage Area WS-4749-09: $49.22 - $57.41 per hour.
Some of the major duties you will perform include but are not limited to the following: Supervise a building's maintenance shop. Supervise a ground's maintenance crew. Supervise a custodial services program. Serve as a long term maintenance/construction project management. Budgeting, Planning and Administration of a maintenance operation.
Requirements

To qualify for this position, you must have sufficient knowledge and ability in the following job-related factors: Ability To Lead Or Supervise as a Maintenance Mechanic Supervisor, WS-4749 with responsibility for developing, implementing, managing, and overseeing both long-term and daily operations for a park or similar maintenance facility. This includes supervising the repair and upkeep of facilities such as historic and non-historic buildings, housing units, utilities, roads, grounds, trails, fences, day-use areas, comfort stations, sign operations, and vehicle fleet maintenance. (Screen-Out) Ability To Interpret Instructions, Specification, etc. (includes blueprints reading) Ability To Use and Maintain Tools and Equipment Knowledge of Equipment Assembly, Installation Repair, etc. Knowledge of materials Technical Practices (theoretical precise, artistic) Use of Measuring Instruments If your knowledge and ability in the SCREEN OUT factor above is not sufficient, you will receive no further consideration.
